The Langham, London celebrates the success of Team GB with a new take on its traditional Wonderland afternoon tea.
Following the historical achievements of the British athletes, Executive Pastry Chef Cherish Finden has taken inspiration from individual sporting events to create a patriotic afternoon tea.
The afternoon tea includes:
Torch – A Cornish sea salt caramel filled cone, using the best British ingredients.
Raspberry dome – The bright red dome, made with Kent raspberries, symbolises the ball games; tennis, basketball, football, handball.
Tower – A tall white chocolate and passion fruit tower represents javelin, archery, shooting and the passion of the games.
Macaroon – The blueberry and bubblegum macaroon brings it all together with a symbol of unity; the Union Jack.
Tea GB runs from 14 August and throughout September 2012. Available in Palm Court at The Langham, London, it is priced at £40 per person.
