When: January 12 2010 - March 16 2010
Where: Royal Opera House, Covent Garden
The Royal Ballet will present a production of Romeo and Juliet at the Royal Opera House next year.
West End visitors should head to the venue between January 12th and March 16th to see Kenneth MacMillan's interpretation of Shakespeare's timeless tale of forbidden love.
The Royal Opera House describes this version of Romeo and Juliet as "one of the greatest examples of 20th-century choreography".
Audiences will be treated to elaborate set pieces including the ball scene and the encounters between the warring Montague and Capulet families.
Period costumes and stage designs add to the experience, along with the famous score by Prokofiev.
People planning a trip to the West End will be able to choose from a total of 16 performances of the ballet, including matinee showings on February 13th and March 6th.
Also coming to the Royal Opera House next year is Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress, which will run from January 22nd to February 3rd.
