London visitors can take a break from shopping in the Carnaby Street area of the West End to play ping pong at a pop-up site on Marshall Street.

The Ping Pong Parlour opened on July 14th and will continue to welcome players until August 14th.

Open between midday and 22:00 from Wednesday to Saturday, the area is filled with a selection of tables of all shapes and sizes.

As well as playing a game for free, visitors can learn more about the sport at a range of special events and shows, including ping pong-themed quizzes and bingo sessions.

The event is sponsored by Puma, which has provided a range of bat and ball kits, bags, T-shirts and more.

Marshall Street is one of many locations taking part in Ping!, an initiative that will see more than 100 ping pong tables set up throughout London in July and August.

Visitors might also be interested in heading to the Puma, Fred Perry and Vans stores in the area to pick up some new sporting gear.
