Selfridges Food Hall London will be celebrating all things Japanese from 6th to 18th April with sake tastings, sushi demonstrations, karaoke evenings and more, as well as an abundance of retro and kitsch Japanese groceries, including an offering from Japanese retailer Minamoto Kitchoan, to take our Bite of Japan into your own kitchen.
Get into the Spirit in the Wine Shop
1pm to 4:30pm, 6th-10thand 14th-15th April

Not your usual Friday night tipple but spend a few minutes with award winning sommelier Xavier Chapelou and you’ll soon see the attraction of Japanese sake and Prucia Plum Liqueur de France, a popular Japanese liqueur made using the very best French ingredients – the perfect fusion of East and West.
Yo Sushi! Sushi School
Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th April, every hour from 12noon until 8pm
Can’t tell Sashimi from Nigiri? Let the Yo Sushi! experts share their knowledge of Japanese cuisine and learn how to make sushi at home with these free sessions throughout the day.
Yo Sushi! Karaoke
Friday 9th April, 6pm–7:30pm
Thanks to a little help from Lucky Voice, Yo Sushi! will be bringing a the most celebrated of all Japanese entertainment, karaoke, to the Food Hall. No need to book…just turn up and be ready with your choice of song!
There’ll be every opportunity to try out many Japanese delicacies throughout the promotion – just head down to the Food Hall and see what’s happening…
